Main Content
Oversight of all aspects of vertebrate animal care and use is the responsibility of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The Chancellor at SIUC has delegated, in writing, official institutional responsibilities for animal care and use to Vice Chancellor for Research, who appoints the members of the IACUC.
The Laboratory Animal Program (LAP) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), with facilities in the Life Sciences II and III buildings, is responsible for all aspects of research and teaching that involve laboratory animals.
